A Museum is located in the Library building to reveal the importance of the Library to the Public. This Museum has seven sections such as ancient Manuscripts, Illustrated Manuscripts, Old books, Printed copies of the Original Drawings, Atlases, Thanjavur style of Paper Paintings, Canvass Paintings, Wooden Paintings, Glass paintings, Portraits of the Thanjavur Maratha kings, Daniel Paintings, Fraser prints of Indian Scenarios, Punishments of China depicted in picture, Physiognomy charts of Charles Le-Brun, Bathing ghats of Banaras and other Antiquities. These materials will give an idea about the total and variegated collections of the Library to the public.
The library functions six days a week from 10.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. and remains closed on Wednesdays and Government holidays. The library museum functions on all the days except on National holidays.
